The intention of the Women's Meditation Group is to help you incorporate mindfulness into everyday life, reduce stress and find more freedom and joy. We will practice attuning to our mind and body so we can accurately and clearly hear what we need and want. Often, stress, anxiety and depression are rooted in ignoring what we need most.
Each group will be a time to come together in community with like minded women. There will be a mindfulness topic with a reading at the beginning of each meditation. An essential oil will be offered to begin the practice which will start with mindful movement and then lead into a 30 minute sitting (or lying down) mindfulness meditation. An opportunity to share, process and ask questions will end the group.
Meditation is about choosing to be fully in your experience so you can show up for yourself and respond compassionately
This group is for beginning and experienced meditators.
We will meditate for 30 minutes. The meditation will be guided with periods of silence.
The experience is trauma informed which means if you get anxious or activated during the experience there will be options and support to help you regulate. A bell will be rang half way through the meditation (at 15 min.) to help orient yourself in time.
You have the option of lying down, standing, sitting on a mediation cushion or chair during the meditation.
There are no refunds. This group is for learning and experiencing meditation and is not psychotherapy.
