This is an ongoing group that meets each Tuesday from 6:45-8:00p. A 6 week commitment and preregistration is required prior to joining the group.
The intention of the Women's Meditation Group is to help you incorporate mindfulness into everyday life to reduce stress and anxiety. We will practice attuning to our mind and body so we can accurately and clearly hear what we need and want. Often, stress, anxiety and depression are rooted in ignoring what our body, mind and soul needs and wants.
So let's listen! We will spend time meditating, engaging in mindful experiential practices, grounding exercises to help calm the nervous system and root the mind and body, sharing and learning. Each group will include a talk on a mindfulness topic that will help you understand more about the attitudes and principles that are cultivated through the practice. Let's step into our lives in an intentional where we can fully show up for ourselves and respond compassionately to our needs!
The group is lead by Sheila Shervey, a holistic psychotherapist and mindfulness meditation teacher. Sheila specializes in women's health and helps women find freedom from stress and anxiety using mindfulness and meditation.
The group is limited to 8 women. To uphold the integrity of the group and to help support your meditation practice a 6 week commitment is required and a 3-6 month commitment is strongly recommended. This is an ongoing group that has new material each week (it does not repeat). You can join the group at anytime space permitting.
Prior to joining the group you must call to make sure the group is right for you. At that time I can answer any questions you may have.
$180 for 6 weeks
*At the end of 6 weeks you can recommit to the group at which time you would pay $180 for another 6 weeks. You will benefit the most from committing to the group for 3-6 months. You can stay in the group for as long as you like.
